An excellent printer for the price and quality.
I bought the printer in April and I have been very pleased for the performance, quality and cost. I printed hundreds of invitation cards, name tags, driving direction and the reception program for my son’s wedding. The outcome was perfect. I did not encounter the problem that the last poster experienced. I chose 524 ($699) rather than 522 ($399) because it provided high yield replacement toners which will cut down the printing cost by 39% in the long-run. Of course, if one prints haphazardly, C522 may be more economic. The weight stands at 57 lbs, relatively light in the laser printer arena. It is good for at home or small business usage.
Avoid this printer
This is my first Lexmark printer. I bought it on the strength of the reviews. The print quality, color and speed is wonderful. What is not wonderful is that after two weeks, the printer is accumulating toner gunk on one of the feed rollers, which gets onto the sheets. Meaning, half the pages coming out of this printer have random toner spots and stains on the corners. Absolutely unacceptable. Avoid.
